Many models and methods, including supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning and tasks in deep vision, object detection, classification, semantic segmentation and action recognition can be successfully applied in modern sports and coaching. These same methods can also be applied in robotics, gaming, motion capture, even movie production.

To be successful as data scientists, we need to make sure our models are built with the best engineering practices, can be effectively deployed to the cloud, retrained and presented to the end user. This session is about using Microsoft Azure for sports related machine learning applications.

I’ll be holding a live session at #ICLR2020 (International Conference on Learning Representations) on Tuesday, 4/28/2020 at 3PM PST. The session focuses on applying machine learning methods in sports, health and fitness, using Microsoft Azure. Illustrating the book

I keep getting questions about how I made illustrations for my book: so, here is the secret: I draw with the pencil then make a fine outline with a drawing pen. Then erase the pencil and process the drawing with Python and OpenCV, but sometimes I get lazy and simply use Adobe Capture 🙂
